Hi everyone. I want to provide a quick update on what is currently going on in my life. I am quickly approaching the end of my first year in Australia. I have been working at a hostel in Cairns for nearly six months now. The main reason for this job was to complete the work required to stay for a second year. I sent my application in for the second year visa and am now waiting for approval so that I can start making more plans.

Assuming my second year is approved, I plan to keep working for this hostel for a while. I might do another six months here so that I can stay for a third year in Australia. If they deny my second year, shouldn’t have to worry about that, then I will have to plan my outback trip immediately. I have already paid for a ten-day trip to the outback that I still need to schedule. I am looking forward to making this trip but am not sure when it will happen.

While waiting for approval of my second-year visa, I am working on new posts to share with you. My main project right now is a series of posts going through my first year in Australia. I also have a lot more ideas for future posts as well and am always looking for more. What I would love to hear from you is what you want to see me talk about in my future posts.
