So I have been in Sydney for roughly 3 months now. I will say this is a beautiful city to visit but be ready to spend some money because it is far from cheap in this city.

With that said you can still find good deals to go out and have a good time. I mean even today I found a bar that has an incredible happy hour deal, $3 drinks and $3 slices of pizza.

So moral of the story is do not be scared of a big city just because they often are more expensive. Often there are ways to save money and enjoy your time at the city.

On a more personal note, I spent Christmas in Sydney. This was my first Christmas without a single family member and it was honestly a little hard because of that. Luckily last year I spent Christmas with only my Dad so it was not as extreme but it can still be lonely to do Christmas by yourself. I ended up spending my day at the beach with some friends and then doing Christmas dinner with them as well so that made it easier but it was still really different!
