Panama Canal Cruise Day 15
Day 15 was disembarkation day, or as some people like to call it, eviction day. This day is the day we are back to port and have to leave the ship. No one likes this day, but usually, everyone is happy to have had such a great time during the cruise. We typically start this day getting some breakfast. We then find a place to relax while we wait for the crew to call our zone to leave the ship. Before leaving the room for good, I turned to the channel with the map so that I could take a photo showing our total distance traveled during the trip. We traveled a total of 4,733 Nautical Miles (5,446 miles/8,765 kilometers)!

Our friend left before us because he had to catch a flight back home. Dad and I were a little more relaxed. After we got off the ship and collected all of our belongings, we headed to a car rental place. We would have liked to have stayed in Tampa that night since the Gasparilla Pirate Festival was happening, but finding a hotel was too tricky for that night. So instead, we rented a car to drive down to Miami so that we could catch a flight the next morning back to The Bahamas. It was a sad day after such a fantastic trip, but we made the best of it still. We even made it to the hotel in time to enjoy a happy hour for one more night of drinks!
