In the last post, I talked all about my time in Sydney. In this post, I want to begin talking about my trip up the east coast and tell you what I considered to be the best stops. Most backpackers purchase a hop on hop off bus pass with either Greyhound or Premier for the east coast. Some buy a campervan instead so that they can choose when and where they go. I took a different option and traveled up the coast with Stray Australia.

It has been a few weeks since my last update related to Coronavirus. Well, the last month or so has not seen many changes. The most significant change was just announced in the past week, and it is a promising change for Australia. This change is coming due to a lower number of confirmed daily cases.

Fraser Island is one of the most unique experiences on the Australia East Coast. Many of the activities on the east coast are similar to other places in the world. That doesn’t mean they are not worth visiting, however! But Fraser Island is different. I don’t know any other site that really compares to it.

Do you know what it is like to leap into the unknown? For most people, it takes a lot of courage to do anything related to the unknown. It can be a terrifying thing to do, but it can also have some fantastic results. The most significant leap I usually hear about people taking in the travel industry is when they quit there 9-5 job to travel full time. Let’s use an example of a one-year work and holiday visa for Australia.

The last week has brought no relief with Coronavirus. The cases and deaths continue to climb. Flights are still getting canceled. More places than ever are now on lockdown. But we continue in whatever way we can.

Coronavirus still plagues the world with no signs of letting up. Backpackers all over the world are facing some of the biggest challenges of their travels to date. Some of these challenges include canceled tours, canceled flights, and lost jobs. Worry is spreading everywhere among backpackers about what step they should take next.

Coronavirus is starting to affect every aspect of life. Most people are living in some fear during these times. The entire world is seeing something related to the virus, so fear makes sense. In this post, I want to talk about my experiences relating to the virus. This post will be the first update of many to come.

Windin Falls is a beautiful waterfall with an incredible infinity pool to relax in at the top of the waterfall. It will make for a perfect way to spend a warm sunny day. Even with clouds, you will enjoy yourself. Just try to avoid the falls after heavy rain as you may not be able to go into the infinity pool for safety reasons.

Walshs Pyramid is a challenging hike just 20 kilometers to the south of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Seeing the pyramid is easy as you travel south along Bruce Highway. Finding the trail at the base of the mountain is a little harder, but the biggest challenge is easily the climb. This hike is not for the faint of heart as you will be climbing up about 800 meters over three kilometers of trail. If this still interests you, keep reading below.

Day 15 was disembarkation day, or as some people like to call it, eviction day. This day is the day we are back to port and have to leave the ship. No one likes this day, but usually, everyone is happy to have had such a great time during the cruise. We typically start this day getting some breakfast. We then find a place to relax while we wait for the crew to call our zone to leave the ship. Before leaving the room for good, I turned to the channel with the map so that I could take a photo showing our total distance traveled during the trip. We traveled a total of 4,733 Nautical Miles (5,446 miles/8,765 kilometers)!
